Security isn’t a setting you turn on. It’s how the platform is built. These protections apply to every shop, on every plan, from day one.
Your store is yours alone
Printmio was built true multi-tenant from the ground up. Every shop’s data lives in its own isolated space - your orders, customers, designs, and pricing are never mixed with another shop’s and are never visible to anyone outside your team. One customer can never reach another customer’s data.
Private file storage for every shop
Your artwork, proofs, and print-ready files are kept in storage dedicated to your store, separate from every other shop on the platform. Files are stored on Amazon S3 and access is scoped to your store, so a design uploaded to your shop stays in your shop.
Team roles you control
Give each person exactly the access they need and nothing more - an account owner, an admin, a designer, a press operator, customer-service staff. People only see and do what their role allows, so sensitive settings and customer data stay in the right hands.
An audit log of who did what
Important actions are recorded - orders edited, prices changed, proofs approved, settings updated. If you ever need to know who did what and when, there’s a clear, time-stamped record to look back on. No more guessing after the fact.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Traffic between your customers, your team, and the platform is encrypted over HTTPS, and your stored data is encrypted at rest. Sensitive information is protected on the wire and on disk.
You can take your data with you
Your data belongs to you. Your catalog, orders, and customer records are exportable, so you’re never locked in. Choosing us should never feel like a one-way door.
Payments
We don’t hold your customers’ card details.
When a customer checks out, payment is handled by the provider you already trust. Card details go straight to their secure systems - not stored on ours - so the sensitive part of every transaction stays with the specialists who do it best, with no per-order fees from us.
Certifications
Honest about where we are.
A formal SOC 2 examination and an independent third-party penetration test are on our roadmap as we grow. We won’t display a badge or claim a certification we haven’t earned - and you won’t find a fake seal anywhere on this site. When these are complete, we’ll say so here, plainly, with dates.
In the meantime, the protections above - full isolation between shops, private per-shop file storage, team roles, an audit log, and encryption in transit and at rest - are in place today.

Security is a partnership. If you believe you’ve found a vulnerability or a way for one shop’s data to reach another, please report it privately so we can confirm and fix it before it’s shared publicly. We’ll work with you in good faith and keep you posted on the resolution.
Please include enough detail for us to reproduce the issue. Avoid accessing or changing data that isn’t yours while testing.
